Karen S. Spicker is a seasoned San Diego Consumer Litigator. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science with honors from Pepperdine University in 1982.
Ms. Spicker went on to receive her Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier College School of Law. She was on Moot Court, as well as the Editorial Board for Whittier Law Review, publishing a case note on criminal law.
She was accepted to the California State Bar in 1987 and the Arizona State Bar in 1995. Ms. Spicker is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.
Litigation Experience
Ms. Spicker has extensive litigation experience in a variety of areas having conducted jury and bench trials in both civil and criminal matters. Her experience includes the District Attorney’s Office in San Bernardino County conducting criminal trials and preliminary hearings. She transition into insurance litigation conducting extensive arbitrations and bench trials. Thereafter, she joined the business litigation firm of Schlecht, Shevlin & Shoenburger practicing both business litigation and also family law. She opened the family law department at Jennings Strauss & Salmon in Arizona.
20 Years Of Experience
As a highly seasoned litigator with over 20 years of experience, Ms. Spicker has a long history of representing clients with skill and tenacity. At Doan Law Firm, her expertise includes Consumer and Business Litigation. She manages the Consumer Litigation Department at Doan Law Firm. She successfully represents hundreds of consumers every year as against credit card companies and banks whom wrongfully and willfully violate the bankruptcy code and other state and federal consumer statutes, designed to protect consumers. Ms. Spicker serves as a Judge Pro tem for the San Diego Superior Court. She is a member and is on the ethics committee for the National Association of Consumer Attorneys. She has lectured on various state and federal consumer statutes and bankruptcy code violations.
